The opportunity to processing onsite in Zimbabwe most of the required raw materials to manufacture lithium batteries cells and solar cells in Zimbabwe was made possible by the offer of land in existing export processing zone Sunway City industrial park. The pilot manufacturing plants for lithium batteries and solar panels will also be housed in Sunway City.
The first step was to come up with the importation of fuel for service stations in the parks and service stations outside the parks as a low hanging fruit. The second step was to establish service stations inside and outside parks. The service stations can be franchises or wholly owned by DEG.
